On Teachmore you can add different types of items to a course. These include Private Videos, Youtube videos, Vimeo Videos, Text, PDF, Images, Questions and Quizzes.
These let you transform your content into an interactive course that users enjoy. You can rearrange items within a section, and across sections anytime you like.
Items are the pieces of content that make up a section.
Let's explore each one of these items, and how they help your users get the best out of a course.
Private Video:
Upload videos from your computer to the course. This could be content you have created and stored.
Youtube Video:
You can embed any video from Youtube into the course! Now your users can play, pause, repeat and learn!
Just add the Youtube video URL
When you add a Youtube video item, the Video length (in seconds) also gets added.
This helps to include the duration of Youtube videos in the course content summary displayed to users on the course sales page.
Vimeo Video
Link Vimeo videos with your course. Just add the Video ID, video length (in seconds), a title and a description.
Live Video:
Go live with your students and have an interactive learning session!!
Text:
Text items are great for writing an index or an introduction to the course or for summarizing the content of your course.
PDF:
PDFs come in handy when you want to provide notes to your users. These can be downloaded and printed for later use.
That's not all! You can also control whether users can download PDFs from your courses, and how they view the PDFs.
Go to Settings --> General on the Teachmore dashboard
Now scroll down to "PDF Download Mode"
Select your desired mode and click update.
Image:
It's always great to have images in a course! They make it easier for users to remember concepts.
Image Gallery:
An image gallery is a collection of images that you can add if you wish to club multiple images in one gallery.
Question:
Include questions in your course to do check whether the users have understood what was previously taught, or even just to check if users are familiar with a topic.
Quiz:
Quizzes are effective tools that help users put their knowledge to test, while having fun. It's just like playing a game and learning in the process. On Teachmore you can add two types of quizzes to your course:
Quiz Settings
Show solution
There are two ways in which you can show the quiz solutions to users:
After submitting quiz
Users can see the correct answers only after they submit the quiz.
After every question
Users can see the correct answer immediately after attempting a question.
Time
You can allow your users unlimited or limited time to complete a quiz.
How Limited time works
Once you add the questions, set a time limit on the quiz and save. Once the time limit is up, the quiz will auto submit.
Attempts
You can allow unlimited or limited attempts for a quiz
How Limited attempts work
Select “Limited attempts”, enter the number of attempts and save
Now your users will be able to attempt a quiz according to the number of attempts set by you; in this case 3 times.
Mark Quiz questions for review
Users can mark a question for review if they wish to move on to the next question and revisit it later
They can filter all questions that are marked for review
Negative marking in quizzes
You can add negative marking for one or more quiz questions
Open up any of your quiz question and scroll to the bottom
Here you will see the option to add points
Add + and − points.
For example, let's say you add points + 1 and -0.25
Now when your users attempt the question, they get 1 point for a right answer and -0.25 for a wrong one
The overall score of a user is calculated as
(Total of all + points) − (Total of all − points)
