If you already have a domain name, skip to Step 2.

If you don't have a domain name, you'll need to buy one.

To set up your custom domain, go to Settings → Website → Domains on your Teachmore dashboard

Now select Custom domain

Enter your domain name

Login to your domain registrar and add a CNAME record for the domain you wish to use on Teachmore

This process is almost the same for different registrars

These are the values you should add:

Host/Name: www (if you'd like to use a root www.yourdomain.com)

OR

study (for a subdomain like study.yourdomain.com - "study" can be replaced with any word you'd like such as: learn, courses, classes, etc.)

Value/Points To: sites.teachmore.com

Please Note: Some registrars require a period at the end of the link being pointed to. In that case, you would enter: sites.teachmore.com

After you've created your CNAME, email us on support@teachmore.com or live chat and include a screenshot of your DNS settings within your registrar/hosting company.

This will allow us to verify if everything is in place

Custom domain name is usually ready within 24-48 hours

For custom domains connected with 'www' as the CNAME:

If you would like to have access to your site via the non-www version of your address you will need to set up a redirect with your domain registrar in order to indicate that the non-www version should load the www version of your site.

For example, if you connected your custom domain to Teachmore with www.mydomain.com, you need to go to your domain registrar and set up a redirect for mydomain.com to direct to www.mydomain.com

If your domain provider requires an IP address for a redirect or forward, we highly recommend using a service like Naked SSL. It's free for a single domain and they provide an A record/ IP address that you can add for the redirect that will work for your Teachmore site!
