With the course requirements option you can manage how users interact with your course. This includes the order in which they view the course, and the percentage of video that you want them to complete before they can move on to the next lecture.
Course requirements can accessed under the Rules tab of any course
Enforce lesson order
Once this is enabled, students must progress through lectures in order.
This means they have to complete the lecture they are currently on, before they can move on to the next one
How does it work in the course player?
First users will see a welcome message explaining that they need to mark every lecture as complete before moving on to the next lecture
Here the user is on the first lecture
If they try to skip to the next lecture or any other lecture, they will see the following message
They can complete the previous lesson by going back and clicking on mark as complete
In order to move to the desired lecture, they need to click Mark as complete on the previous lecture or lectures, depending on which lecture they are currently trying to access
For example, if a user is on lecture 1 and tries to skip to lecture 4, they need to mark lectures 1 to 3 as complete.
Once user selects the mark as complete option, the lecture is seen as completed and they can now move on to the next item
Not just that, with course requirements you can also enforce video watching
Enforce video watching
Enforce video watching means users need to watch a minimum percentage of videos before they can move to the next item
For example, let's set the minimum percentage as 50%
